Japan360 LTD

Web Design for Japan360

Japan360 is a New Zealand-based travel agency offering custom trips to Japan. Designed by LITTLE FUJI, a web designer based in NZ, the website blends traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern, pop-inspired web design using Wix Studio.

Design Concept

This design concept blends traditional Japanese elements with contemporary pop art to create a unique and culturally rich expression of Japanese identity.

By incorporating collage graphics created with Canva and combining them with traditional Japanese colors, the design delivers a playful and distinctive visual identity. Bold typography and a vibrant color palette convey a sense of excitement and creativity, making the website feel engaging and inspiring for travelers planning their journey to Japan.

Customizable Yet Functional Website

The client requested a website that balances a professional and unique design with simplicity and functionality that allows for easy customization after delivery.

To support users who may be new to website editing, I provided a custom guide explaining how to update the site using Wix Studio.

Follow-up support was also offered through screen-sharing sessions.

The site includes a blog feature to support SEO efforts, and I assisted with SEO settings, Google Analytics integration, and domain connection for a complete and smooth launch.

The final website successfully reflects the client’s vision: a modern, culturally rich design that blends traditional Japanese elements with a playful, pop-inspired style. Collage graphics and custom design elements were used to express a unique visual identity that feels both fresh and familiar.

Built with Wix Studio, the site is fully responsive and easy to update, even for beginners, offering both flexibility and functionality for long-term use.

Logo Design Refinement and File Conversion

The client provided a PDF version of their logo, which I refined using Adobe Illustrator by cleaning up the paths and adjusting the overall design.

To ensure versatility, I also created alternate layouts, including a square version for social media icons and a horizontal version. The complete set of logo files was delivered in both vector (SVG/AI) and PNG formats for various uses.

Proposing Multiple Design Options and Creating a Style Guide Using Figma

Using Figma, I created multiple styleguides with color and font variations, allowing the client to compare and refine their preferences.

Through this process, we were able to gradually visualize the ideal design the client had in mind.

LITTLE FUJI then developed a style guide with the selected color palette and typography, and applied it to the Wix Studio site theme.

This ensured a consistent visual identity and a smooth, cohesive website-building process.
