This is a note on how to bring up Extra Mesh objects in Blender version 4.5.3.

It used to be under Add-ons, but in version 4.5 you add it from Get Extensions.

It’s a completely free extension, so there’s no harm in installing it.

  1. Open Preferences from Edit

First, go to the top-left menu Edit and select Preferences.

UI showing a dropdown menu under "Edit" with options like "Undo," "Redo." "Preferences..." is highlighted at the bottom in yellow.

  1. Install Extra Mesh Objects from Get Extensions

In Preferences, go to Get Extensions and search for Extra Mesh Objects. Click the arrow on the right to expand, then click the Install button to start the installation.

While I was there, I also found Extra Curve Objects, so I added that too.

Software interface for managing extensions. A list of available addons with "Install" buttons is displayed. Dark theme, modern design.

  1. Check if the extension is installed

Once the installation is complete, the Extra Mesh Objects you just added will appear under Installed in Get Extensions.

What you can create with Extra Mesh Objects in Blender

After installing Extra Mesh Objects, you can easily add special shapes such as a diamond,

3D gray cone shape on a grid background with axis lines. The cone is centered with sharp, defined edges, creating a geometric look.

Castle-like walls, pyramids, and even a teapot.

There is also a Rock Generator that lets you quickly create realistic stone objects.

All of these become available from the Shift + A menu.

3D models on a gray background: a brick wall with arch, a teapot, a cone, a pyramid, and a textured rock. All objects are white.
