As a solo entrepreneur with limited resources, I found marketing to be one of the most time-consuming and stressful parts of running my business.
That all changed when I discovered the Wix AI Marketing Agent.
This powerful, built-in feature within Wix has completely transformed the way I approach marketing—saving me time, offering clear direction, and helping me grow faster.

The Wix AI Marketing Agent comes packed with helpful tools designed to make digital marketing easier, even for those without a marketing background like me.
Whether you're looking to boost website traffic, generate content ideas, or track your marketing progress, this tool offers everything in one place:

Content Suggestions: Automatically generated blog ideas, keywords, and FAQ topics.

With these features, the Wix AI Marketing Agent helps you stay organized, consistent, and strategic in your marketing efforts.
This AI support is incredibly helpful for me as a small business owner or freelance designer, since I have to handle almost everything by myself—marketing, providing services, creating content, supporting customers, and updating my portfolio and social media (Yes, being a freelance is So busy!).
*Before you begin:
To use the Wix AI Marketing Agent, your website must meet the following requirements:
You must have an upgraded (paid) Wix plan.
Your site must be published and have a connected domain.
This means that as long as your Wix website is on a paid plan, you can use the AI Marketing Agent at no additional cost.
(For reference, I use the Basic plan on Wix Studio and the Light plan on Wix Editor for my portfolio site.) You can read more details in the Wix Help Center article:
How to Set Up the Wix AI Marketing Agent
The Wix AI Marketing Agent is a powerful feature embedded in the Wix platform, aimed at helping small business owners manage their marketing effortlessly.
It harnesses AI to simplify the development of marketing strategies, making it user-friendly even for those with limited marketing knowledge.
Step1 : Go to AI Marketing Agent from your Wix Dashboard
First, go to the AI Marketing Agent in your Wix Dashboard. Click "Let's Get Started" and then "Create My Business Overview" to automatically generate your business overview.
You can customize your AI agent’s name and business overview from the panel on the right.
(I changed my AI agent name : Ditto (・ω・))
Step2 : Continue to AI Marketing Service Set Up
Once your business overview is set, click "Continue to Service".
The Wix AI Marketing Agent will analyze your website and generate suggestions for SEO improvement, such as keyword performance, blog post ideas, and FAQ optimization. Since I wanted to improve SEO for my website, I added the SEO Marketing service.
*Note: This is based on my experience. The AI’s responses may vary depending on your website, installed apps, or AI version.
You can also add Social Media, Email Marketing, and Paid Ads marketing plans.
If you don’t need them, simply select "Maybe Later".
Step3 : Launch the Marketing Plan
After setting up all the marketing services, click the "Launch Marketing Plan" button to get started.
Step4 : Review and Manage Your Wix AI Marketing Plan
Now you should have access to your AI Marketing Agent plan.
All tasks are neatly organized under each marketing service category.
You can review, approve, or edit the AI suggestions on each task card.
In my case, the agent had already generated a new blog post and a content plan for upcoming posts.
Optional : Download Your Plan as a PDF Booklet
For those who prefer a traditional approach, the option to download the entire marketing plan as a PDF booklet is a fantastic feature.
Click the “View Marketing Plan” blue button at the top right.
Your marketing plan booklet will be displayed, and you can download it as a PDF by clicking the “Download Marketing Plan” button, also at the top right.
This PDF format allows you to keep a physical copy of your marketing strategies that’s easy to access, perfect for sharing with clients or using as part of your marketing support materials.
Track Progress with the Activity Log
Another feature I really like is the Activity Log. This tool is a valuable part of the Wix AI Marketing Agent. It keeps a record of all marketing plans and actions created with the tool.
You can access your activity history by clicking the "Activity Log" button at the top right of the AI Marketing Agent dashboard. It shows the actions taken in the past 30 days.
By checking my Activity Log, I can go back and review previous marketing strategies.
This helps me understand what worked and what needs improvement.
Note: I noticed that some changes were not saved occasionally.
For important content like SEO meta descriptions, I recommend keeping a separate backup just in case!

Perfect for Small Businesses and Solo Traders / Freelancers
In summary, the Wix AI Marketing Agent has significantly enhanced my marketing efforts and provided a well-rounded solution for small business owners who may not have the budget for a dedicated marketing team.
Its automatic content suggestions, customizable marketing plans, activity logs, and downloadable formats help streamline the entire marketing process for individuals and small businesses alike.
As a freelance designer, I have to do everything myself.
It’s not just client work — I spend at least 40% of my time on managing my own business, which includes updating my portfolio, posting on social media, writing blog articles, and maintaining my website.
While I enjoy content creation and having full control over my work, it can be overwhelming at times.
There are moments when there’s simply not enough time to do everything.

I use the Wix AI Marketing Agent as a supportive tool for marketing, but I also continue to use Google Analytics, social media insights, and personal research to guide my strategy.
I always review and refine my text myself and combine it with real experiences — something AI can’t replicate.
AI Is a Tool. We, Human Hold the Wheel
Ultimately, it's we humans who must take the wheel.
AI does not make the final decision or bear the responsibility.
By using AI to improve efficiency, verifying the credibility of the information it provides, and taking action based on our own experiences, we grow. This is how we, as humans, can cultivate deeper thinking.
In fact, I'm not fully on board with the current trend of asking ChatGPT for absolutely everything.
That can easily become a form of intellectual laziness.
If we blindly act on AI-generated answers without thinking critically, we risk handing over our agency to AI instead of staying in control ourselves.
